We've always loved Cocker Spaniels, and after many years of having several in the house, we found ourselves without one in 2011.
We decided to adopt a Rescue rather than buy a puppy, and then adopt a second Rescue about a year later. Bo and Ginger were wonderful, loving Cocker Spaniels with big personalities.
Our adopting them eventually turned into us Fostering rescues. Between late 2011 and late 2017, we've fostered or rescued nearly 20 dogs, almost all of which were Cocker Spaniels.
Our involvement in Rescue has grown over the years from just Fostering one dog at a time to volunteering at Adoption Events, managing websites, mailing lists, transporting (or helping arrange transportation) of dogs, performing home inspections for multiple Rescues, and Fostering as many as 4 dogs at a time. We've also financially supported many Rescues nationwide.
In late 2017, it became clear that it was time to make it official and take things to the next level, and we formed the nonprofit corp, Wigglebutt Rescue, Inc., while maintaining our Day Jobs.
We're currently self-funded, but hope to be able to help more dogs in need via donations from big hearted people like yourselves. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today! (just click the Donate Now button on our home page - we're a 501(c)3 Public Charity, so it's fully tax deductible!)
Thanks for your support, and with much love,
The Fleming Family and Wigglebutt Rescue, Inc.
